Now’s the time to send the 13th Month Bonus – Practical Advice

What is the 13th-month pay?

It is not a Christmas bonus. Simply put, it is an extra month’s pay that employers in the Philippines are obliged to give their employees. It’s as if there are 13 months in a year!

We’re not required by law to do it as foreign employers. But our hardworking Online Filipino Specialists expect it, and quite honestly, they deserve it.

When is the best time to give out the 13th-month?

Now is the time to send it to your OFSs!

December brings a lot of discount sales, and many establishments bring down their prices at this time of the year. So having money to spend on what they’ve been eyeing for the whole is something.

You might want to hold off until it’s almost Christmas, but what would that do if they can’t take advantage of the price cut that’s happening early on.

So go ahead, send your OFSs their 13th-month early. Your OFSs would be so grateful they might offer to work during the holidays! But don’t let them if you can help it.
