Yes, you can! But it depends.
Depending on where you live, the time difference between you and your Filipino VA can be between a couple of hours to 16 hours.
Based on my experience, I noticed that a lot of Filipinos have a hard time working the night shift. So for jobs that I don’t need them to work on my timezone, I have them work during their time zone.
But for jobs that do need people to work the night shift, I get people who are used to that schedule or who prefer to work at night. I have a few VAs who specifically asked to work the night shift because that’s when they’re most productive.
Another option is I can have them work flexible hours. They can work anytime they want as long as there’s an overlap where I can call them. I have VAs who work around their kid’s school schedule. This lets me catch them when they’re online really early or really late. It still works because they still put in a full day’s work and I can catch up with them.
So yeah, a Filipino VA can work on your timezone. But you have to consider that maybe there are some jobs that don’t need to be done during their time zone. And specify in your job post if you do need someone to work the night shift. It’ll screen out candidates who can’t do it early on.
