I got an email a while ago asking how they could send gifts or bonuses to their Filipino workers. Coincidentally, one of my workers just got married. As a gift, we gave him $150 and extra days off for his honeymoon.
This got me thinking: what else can you do if you want to send gifts to your workers—like if it’s their birthday, they just had a baby, or they’re getting married?
Cash is the easiest way to do it. But if you don’t want to send them money, you can order something online. The good thing is, they have online wedding registries now, and online shopping is really popular in the Philippines. You can just ask them to send you their wishlist and order something for them.
I don’t recommend having something shipped from the U.S., given the current climate. It’s too expensive, fussy, and there’s a good chance it could get lost or stolen.
