What Kind of VA should I Hire First – Practical Advice

Who should you hire first?

The most common advice you’ll hear is to hire someone to do the tasks you don’t know how to do.

You can do that. But in my years of outsourcing, I’ve found that the first task you should outsource is the one you already know how to do. Find someone to take over what you’re already doing.

Hiring someone to do something you already know how to do will give you a much better experience.

Why?

Because it lets you hand off a task you don’t like doing to someone else.

You should also find someone with excellent English skills. Speaking English doesn’t have to be perfect, but someone who can write skillfully opens up endless possibilities.

Watch the video so you know what I mean.

To make sure you find a great VA the first time, go to OneVAAway.com. I’ll guide you through the process I created, which helps me hire a great VA 75% of the time. It’s saved me—and thousands of other business owners—a lot of time and money.

I’m also giving away a free book on how you can hire people from the Philippines to work in your business. It’s The Outsourcing Lever.

How do we setup interviews for candidates? How do we pay the candidates/contractors? Is PayPal an option in the Philippines?

Hi Terri,

Thank you for your comment. It would depend on your company’s prerogative. Some would do it through email/OJ account email, some over Skype. Yes Paypal is an option, there is a mention on that in our FAQS -> https://www.onlinejobs.ph/faq
