What Kind of VA Should You Hire First?

Most of the advice on the internet is garbage.

They say that if you love your work, you never have to work a day in your life. But if you’re a business owner, you can’t just do the things you love. I’m a programmer and I enjoy programming. But as a business owner, I knew I couldn’t do just that. As the CEO of your own business, you want to focus on stuff that grows your business. You want to focus on making sales and creating marketing strategies.

Hire someone you can teach. Outsource something that you’re good at. Get stuff off your plate so you can focus on growing your business.

One of the first people I hired was a programmer back in 2007. Now I have a team of programmers. They’re an amazing team because they know what I want and what my standards are. I can afford to hire a team because I focused on growing my business.
