OnlineJobs.ph was born out of necessity.
When I was a young business owner, I wanted to do everything. But lo and behold, nobody can do everything.
I have tried hiring locally, but all four quit, copied my business model, and started their own business. I also tried outsourcing through Elance but found that I may have created more work for myself!
A friend told me to outsource to the Philippines, and I did. At first, I went through an agency, but it wasn’t for me.
Then something clicked; I found someone who knew nothing but was willing to learn everything. I told him what I wanted to be done and taught him how I wanted it done. There were a few mistakes, but he got it right in no time. It was then that I realized that I now have someone in my 
business doing the things I didn’t want to do but was doing it the way I wanted to — it felt like there was another me working in my business.
This was when it started. I wanted other business owners to experience how outsourcing the way I did was so much easier. I wanted them to know how the person they hire this way is getting everything they’re supposed to get salary-wise, unlike getting someone through an agency where you pay $750 but only $250 actually goes to the one working in your business.
The problem was that there was no easy access to the talents in the Philippines. The only option then was to get a VA through an agency, which for me, was not fair.
My first Filipino VA is still with me today. He was with me when I decided to create a bridge between business owners and Online Filipino Specialists. They are specialists because they are more than just secretaries — they can do anything you can do but just don’t have time or just don’t want to do.
