OFS stands for Online Filipino Specialist. An OFS is a Filipino virtual assistant.
People believe that Virtual Assistants can only do mundane tasks; they aren’t really skilled and need step-by-step instructions for specific tasks. This is not true for Virtual Filipino workers; they are so much more than that.
Filipino workers are in a league of their own. That’s why I don’t particularly appreciate calling them VAs.
When you hire a Filipino online worker, you hire an independent thinker who reads between the lines and finds ways to get something done correctly even if the instructions aren’t complete. This is what an OFS is. They are also someone who specializes in a skill you need — social media marketing, website design, customer service — whatever you need, there’s sure to be an OFS who can take care of it.
One of the reasons why Filipinos are the go-to when outsourcing is because people in the Philippines are honest, loyal, hardworking, and speak English. These traits are innate to Filipinos, and these make them great workers.
