The short answer is yes—100%. It all comes down to your hiring strategy. Some people go to OnlineJobs.ph, post a job, then hire the first applicant.
Hiring people remotely is the same as hiring people locally. You have to go through vetting, interviewing, even asking for sample work if need be. You don’t just look at a resume and decide that everything you read is true and hire someone based on a piece of paper.
Going through an agency wasn’t an excellent experience for me, so I would advise against it. Yes, they would provide someone for you, but they won’t tailor it for you and your business’ needs. What matters to them is that they have provided you with a warm body.
