You don’t have to be a bodybuilder or a professional athlete to reap the benefits of weight training. When done the right way, it helps you lose fat, increases your strength and muscle tone. But if done incorrectly, weight training may lead to injury.
Nope, this isn’t a health tip! This is still part of a series of tips about outsourcing, particularly to the Philippines.
Just like weight training, anyone can do it. You don’t need to be an HR person or a recruiter to hire your own OFS. Outsourcing should also be done properly to get the best out of it. Done wrong, it could be a waste of time, effort, and of course, money.
My weight trainer recently shared his 4 best workout tips with me. Today, I’m giving you my 4 top recruitment tips to help you find the best OFS for your business.
- First, skip Skype interviews. Email interviews are the way to go. When you’re working, you don’t really talk to your OFSs face to face all the time. Most of your communication will be through email and chat. What makes the interview any different?
- Second, avoid shortlisting people. Casting a wider net means there’s a chance you’ll get a bigger fish.
- Third, hire directly through OnlineJobs.ph. Most of what you’re paying with an agency is their overhead, not the VA’s salary. And nobody knows your business better than you. You’re the best person to find an OFS that’s a good fit for your business.
- Lastly, hire something you know how to do. This way, you get to teach how you want things done and you get things off your plate quickly.
I’m more than happy to show you my entire recruitment process so you can find an awesome Online Filipino Specialist. Head on to OneVAAway.com for a lot more tips and plenty of practical advice on outsourcing to the Philippines.
I also have a new book that I’m giving away for free, The Outsourcing Lever. It’s about how I have done outsourcing over the years. Get more information here.
