- Web developers can build websites from scratch using HTML, CSS and Javascript. They focus on the website’s functions. That’s why they often work with a web designer to make your site look good.
- Programmers are completely different. They make custom applications or custom code for websites. They use programming languages like Python, PHP and ruby. They don’t build websites. Some programmers can build websites and some web developers have programming skills. But it’s best to hire the right person with the right skill set, especially when it comes to tasks like this.
