Should You Have Regular Meetings With Your OFS – Practical Advice

It is never an option for me to meet with my team via video. I got on a phone or Skype call with them a couple of times since 2005, but I didn’t like it. They did not like it, either!

That is partly why I don’t find a need to do it.

I do regularly send them videos of me, though. I record myself when I have to give them instructions or if there’s something I need to say to them. That’s why I don’t feel that we need meetings.

The closest thing we have to meetings is when we get on Campfire, which is part of Basecamp. It’s like a big group chat where everyone can see what’s being discussed.

We also have Slack channels, which is a really big chat. We usually have smaller groups, like our customer service people chatting or our social media team chatting.

Our blog has many practical tips like this one. Head on to our outsourcing education page to catch the whole series.
