As a business owner, there is only so much that you can do on your own. There will be days when you’ll feel stressed out and overwhelmed. Your business might even suffer because you’ve lost focus due to how busy you’ve become.
Don’t wait for that to happen. Try outsourcing!
But how do you outsource the right way?
Nate Woodbury is an old friend of mine. He’s a successful YouTube producer who’s currently producing 9 daily YouTube channels. We collaborated to make some videos to show you how to actually outsource correctly and get the most out of the experience.
So whether you’ve never tried outsourcing before and don’t know where to start or you’ve already outsourced, visit the John Jonas – Outsourcing playlist and get to know outsourcing more. You can also check out his other videos on his channel Hero TV.
Let’s cut to the chase and get to the meat of the playlist. I’ll give you an overview of what each video contains so you know which one to watch. If I were you though, I’d watch everything. Thrice!

What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Outsourcing Work
In this video, I talk about the advantages of outsourcing. And I categorize them to two — okay and great.
The okay ones being the common advantages people think about:
- you get more stuff done for your business,
- stuff you don’t know how to do gets done, and
- it’s cheap.
Really great advantages which aren’t more recognized are:
- getting time back in your life,
- stuff you do know how to do is now done by someone else, and
- ability to automate a system.
The really great advantages can be achieved when you outsource correctly.
But if you do outsourcing poorly, you’ll encounter the disadvantages, namely:
- it’s a disaster or poor work outcome,
- It’s hard to find the right people,
- it breeds laziness, and
- it takes time.
How to Make a Time Machine in Real Life
Well, more like how you can make more time for yourself today and how to make money doing it.
How? Through outsourcing!
Find someone to do things for you so you can do what you want with your time.
In this video, I share how I replaced myself. I basically just stepped back and gained more time for myself.
I also share how you can do this too! You just have to follow the conditions I mentioned in the video. 😉
Where to Find a Virtual Assistant
There are so many ways to go about outsourcing. And here are some ways you can do it:
- Find a US company that hires US workers
- Find a company that specializes in multiple tasks
- Use freelancers
- Use Onlinejobs.ph
In this video, I also show you how to use Onlinejobs.ph to find remote workers who would be the best for your business.
How to Become a Millionaire
In my opinion, becoming a millionaire doesn’t depend on who you know, but :
- what you know,
- what you’re willing to know, and
- how hard you’re willing to work.
I also believe that in order to become a millionaire, you have to:
- own your business,
- be really good at something, and
- stay out of debt.
- You also have to, well, get off your butt and work!
And lastly, you have to be willing to get help. Sounds easy but it’s actually hard for a lot of entrepreneurs to do.
What Do Virtual Assistants Do?
Virtual assistants provide various services to businesses from a remote location.
These are the things my VAs do for me:
- Programming
- Webmaster work
- Graphic design
- Logo design and artwork
- Advertising
- Writing my personal blog
- Customer support
- Project management
- Data analysis
- WordPress
- Managing apps
- Social media management
- Random tasks on my business I don’t have the time to do on my own
What VAs can do is a never-ending list! In fact (pardon the pun here), they can do virtually anything.
They’re like what Jarvis is to Iron Man. They’re not there in person – but they’re still a big part of your business.
How to Hire Your First Employee
Others will tell you to make a list of what you can outsource before you’re ready to hire.
I say, scrap that idea. What you should do is think about that one thing you do every day that you’re good at, good enough to teach someone else how to do, and hire someone to do that.
There’s a couple of ways you can go about looking for candidates for the job, and I’m sharing my hiring process on this video.
How to Manage a Remote Team
Remote teams are managed differently compared to in-house teams. They have their own unique set of challenges and perks.
One of the perks is that a remote team is cheaper. While communication is one of its biggest challenges.
In this video, I talk about my stance on using time-trackers in managing my remote team.
I also share what I know about Filipino culture and how I communicate with my team to make sure everything runs smoothly. Something you might want to pay attention to so you understand them better and improve your team dynamics.
Work On Your Business NOT In Your Business
What does this really mean?
I think to work in the business means doing anything that’s related to running the business — like answering emails, building your website, writing content.
To work on YOUR business is having a CEO-mindset — create systems and procedures, oversee everything, make corrections on faulty procedures.
Getting from working IN to working ON the business takes time and your willingness to make changes. I lay down what you have to do to start your journey into working on your business in this video.
How To Start a Business With No Money
How indeed?
Okay, so starting a business with no money might be stretching it. You can, however, start one with a little bit of money.
The criteria that I have to start a business with minimal expenses are as follows:
- It has to be online.
- It has to be a digital product.
- Get an education.
- Follow the system.
Seems kind of vague? That’s okay. Watch the video as I share information and tips based on what I learned through my personal experience, as well as tested by other entrepreneurs like me.
Entrepreneurs have successfully used the model that I shared in this YouTube playlist, I’m sure you will find it helpful, too.
