How I Hired a Project Manager for OnlineJobs.ph – Practical Advice

I’ve been running and managing OnlineJobs.ph for the longest time. It’s been excellent. But we are growing, and lately, I’m starting to see that I need help. I needed an operations manager.

I decided to promote someone from the team and gave the role to my very first VA — the OFS that started it all — Joven.

Joven was honest when he first started and told me that he knew nothing. I appreciated that and taught him what I needed. He was also eager to learn. Years went by, and he was nothing but consistent — he shows up, does what’s asked of him — and this is what I needed. Someone to make sure everything is working and nothing’s amiss consistently.

This is what I love about outsourcing to the Philippines — their loyalty. Filipinos will work for you for a long time, and they have a genuine desire to help your business grow.

Treat your OFSs right. Invest in them, teach them, communicate with them. All of these will just be at the beginning of your working relationship because once they know what you like and what you want for your business, they will do things according to that.

Remember, the key to finding the right person is the right process. And that’s what I teach at OneVAAway.com. I’ll show you that finding the right virtual assistant doesn’t have to take that long. So even if you’re super busy, you’ll find the time to get a VA yourself. Because when you follow the process yourself, that’s how you find the best person for your business.

I also have a new book that I am giving away for free, The Outsourcing Lever. It’s about how I have done outsourcing over the years.
