Why I can’t (and won’t) stop reminding you to communicate with your virtual assistant daily

I created a video series of outsourcing tips a few years back in Jonasblog.com. I did it because I wanted everyone to know how I did it and have a great experience in outsourcing.

Things were SO different back then. Most businesses had no idea what outsourcing was or how they could use it for their business. There weren’t a lot of business willing to take that risk.

Fast forward years later.

I’ve learned a lot since then, from my own experience and after talking to other people who have used outsourcing successfully. Looking back at that series, I saw that the advice I shared was pretty timeless. It just needed an update.

So now I’m bringing that series back, with new information I’ve learned over the years AND new resources I’ve developed with my team.

Tip # 1 : Daily Communication

We all know that communication is the key to a healthy relationship. More so when we’re talking about an employer-employee relationship that’s oceans apart.

I put an emphasis on daily, because you need to make sure that all of you are on the same page. The distance and time difference can cause hiccups, so it’s good to have some structure in place.

In this video, I’ll share with you:

  • how I choose to communicate with my team,
  • what my team uses for daily communication,
  • what other people use for communication,
  • what lack of communication might mean, and
  • what we share in our daily communication.

I also share a very helpful tool that I use to communicate processes to my team.

My client stopped communicating with me after I did a week of workload for her. I sent her emails and did not get any reply from her. What do you suggest I will do next?

We want to pay by bank wire and people want us to pay via paypal, but that incurrs additional fees. What is the reason someone in the PH would not want to be paid via bank wire? We were told by one potential hire that it would take 2-3 days to hit her account, is that true? Wires are supposed to be fast. All the wires I have done settle on the same day. Bottom line we don’t want to pay any fees to make a payment to someone, we have a way to pay and that is wiring funds which does not cost us anything.

      Hi Mr. Leo,

Thank you for your comment. When it comes to paying the people you hire, you don’t have to pay them through us. You can use Paypal or Worldremit or Transferwise. How much you pay them is dependent on how much you negotiate with them before you hire them

You may talk to them regarding the arrangements though
