The Life Changing Power of Outsourcing, 9 Years Later

Nine years ago, I shared with Nathan how outsourcing to the Philippines can dramatically change his life. Back then, he’d already been working on his business for over a decade. Ten years of work and he was still doing everything by himself. And he was sick and tired. Sick of doing everything himself. Tired of not having the life and business he imagined for himself after years of hard work.

He hired his first Filipino virtual assistant 36 hours after that conversation. That’s when things started to change.

After 2 years, his team has grown from just one virtual assistant to a team of 6.

Now, he sent me a video on the last day of his vacation in the Philippines. Nathan now has 10 full-time Filipino employees working for him. He felt compelled to reach out because he realized just how much his life has changed since he hired that first VA. Everything has come full-circle. From a struggling solopreneur who had to do everything, he now has a booming business. From overworked husband to happy family man who spends quality time with the people he loves.

It’s messages and moments like this that makes the work that we do here at Onlinejobs.ph worthwhile. We enable people from across the globe to help one another and improve each other’s lives. Despite our differences, by working together, we cross racial, social, political, economic and religious boundaries. We have shown that it is possible to make the world a better place and make our own lives better at the same time.

Mr.John Jonas, I want to make a video for you this is my last day in the Philippines and this has been a life-changing visit holy moly.

Meeting my team, we all had dinner together and that was a couple nights ago. That was just… I just felt huge feelings of joy.

I first learned outsourced from you nine years ago when I listened to an audio on a drive. Came back home within 36 hours had my first person hired, and now nine years later is the first time I come to the Philippines. I got to actually meet my team.

Right now I’ve got ten full-time employees and it was like a magical week. It was just.., I don’t know how to describe it. We all feel as a team like the company is a brand-new company now that we’ve all met each other and the cool thing is…, is we all get along.

We were kind of nervous like we’re gonna all get together in the same place. Is it gonna be awkward? Is it gonna be weird? But we all got along. A good mix of male and female. And after that we went over and just quickly went…, went to see the temple and took a picture out outside the front of the Manila temple. And I just finished making them lunch. And the two of them, one is my, he is like my executive assistant. He runs a lot of things, he’s my system creator when I have a new idea for something, he’ll…,  he’ll systematize and create that for me which is amazing.

Anyway just making this video sharing this experience because your influence is what brought me here nine years in the making. But my life is obviously completely different and better and improved because of what I learned from you and being able to hire people here in the Philippines. So I just wanted to say a big thank you and I’ll talk to you soon.

How about you? When do you want to start changing your life? Are you going to wait 9 years? Or like Nathan, are you going to start hiring your Filipino virtual assistant for your business. You’ve already seen what outsourcing can do for other people’s business. It’s time to make outsourcing start working for YOU.
