And since you’re paying your remote team for their time, you may as well consistently give them something to do. Now you don’t have to worry about paying them to sit around doing nothing.
This brings us back to cultivating a culture of taking the initiative to do work outside of what you’ve hired them to do. The upside for them is they eventually gain additional skills, while also honing their existing skills.
What’s the upside for you as a business owner?
This forces you out of your comfort zone. You won’t settle for just keeping the status quo, earning the same amount as before. You must start looking for ways to up the ante – increase your profits. Focusing on the business will eventually lead to more work for your OFS, and the cycle goes on and on. The return on your investment should be more than what you’ve initially invested when hiring that OFS full-time.
